"The high end level 60 content has been a point of some discussion in the community, and I think it's about time it was discussed in our topic of the week! So far, the high end content added to World of Warcraft has been in two forms. They have added raid content (such as Molten Core and Blackwing Lair), and they have added PvP content (honor system, battlegrounds). World of Warcraft's success is widely attributed to its soloability, and the minimal time commitment required to advance in the game. Casual players can pick up, play for 30 minutes, and still accomplish something. Once level 60 is reached, this is no longer the case. Players without the time to commit to a raiding guild or without the time to invest in obtaining high honor system ranks have virtually zero advancement opportunities. Blizzard has attempted to solve this with such things as Warsong Gulch, Darkmoon Fairie trading cards, and Zul'Gurub. Have they done enough. I think there is a need for quests to be hidden very well, like a mystical dude whispering ""psst, come over here, I have something to tell you, cough cough, I don't have much time left"". In your case, you go to an NPc saying ""there is a guy dying over there, he has something important and dark to say, I left him him over there, didn't help him, I would hurry, he could be dead by now"", where is the fun. Lost. Where is the need for searching for difficult and dark quests. It's gone. Why should you explore the hidden parts of the game when there are no quests. Cause you got a list. these are a few reasons why I love wow. You need to search for your quests and that is why this is my oppinion. In the small towns and outlying areas, I can sorta see your point, but the large cities are just too big to be walking around looking for exclamation points.
